Rep. Mondaire Jones, Sen. Tina Smith to join Take Back the Court’s Sarah Lipton-Lubet for a discussion on the dire need for Court expansion to save our democracy

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 8, 2021) — Netroots Nation will feature a keynote panel, Rebalancing The Supreme Court: Why Progressives Must Take Back The [Stolen] Court To Save Our Democracy, co-hosted by Rep. Mondaire Jones and Take Back the Court Director Sarah Lipton-Lubet. Jones and Lipton-Lubet will be joined by Sen. Tina Smith — who recently signed on as co-sponsor of the Judiciary Act of 2021.

Barbara Lee will address conference attendees about why Court expansion is crucial for protecting our democracy and passing progressive legislation.

More than 30 cosponsors have signed on to the Judiciary Act of 2021 across both chambers, joining a broad coalition of 90 organizations who are supporting this effort to rebalance the stolen Supreme Court.

Take Back the Court raises awareness about the urgent need to expand the number of seats on the Supreme Court to address the theft of the court by Senator Mitch McConnell during the Obama Administration.
